A retrospective, or maybe just a ‘spective

It’s been a while since I updated this blog. For a little while, I might have forgotten about it.

A lot has happened in the last few months, but that goes without saying. At any given time, a lot has happened in the last few months. It’s how the world works.

In my world, I got another job. I helped my family move. I’m sitting among a bunch of boxes in my room, typing this. It’s an ongoing process. I’ve done a lot of reading, and also a lot of thinking. I’ve neglected my gym membership in favor of reading and/or thinking. I’ve gone to several totally rad concerts. I’ve even started sketching again.

What does this everyday stuff have to do with this blog? Just about everything.

I’ve been making excuses to myself for the past few months. That small portion of time I spent thinking about this website (and the fact that I purchased the domain name and everything, but it’s just SITTING THERE), I comforted myself with, “oh, it’ll be there when I need it. When something interesting happens, I mean. Because I’m still burned out from school and I just want to save up some money so I can pay off my loans, and maybe write my novel first.”

Yeah, they’re all excuses. Nothing more.

Consider this the restart of my web presence, in a way. Rather than trying to keep a theme for this blog, I’ll write about whatever happens to be relevant to me. Fiction, music, knitting. Sports too, I suppose.

It is the eve of hockey season. I love October. I might need a pumpkin spice latte.
